2017 Roennfeldt Road Cabernet Sauvignon Grenache The vines were planted in
Description
The vines were planted in the 1912 on red clay mixed with alluvial loam
almost graphite-like edge to the tannins
Vine age gives a density to the wine via small bunches and a strong tannin structure
then things turn dark and spicy and long of finish with the tug of powdery tannins and a real graphitey end point
2017 Roennfeldt Road Cabernet Sauvignon Grenache The vines were planted inAt less than a single acre, the Roennfeldt Road Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard is by far our smallest block. Wedged between the winery, an old creek bed and the Roennfeldt Road Shiraz vineyard, this triangle shaped block has proved time and again to be the source of world class Cabernet Sauvignon. Dry grown, the vines lie in free draining, dark sandy loam soils and benefit from cooling afternoon breezes that wind their way up the old watercourse.
